JANUARY POST EVENTS
- JAN 1 – NewYear’s Day
- JAN 6 – Pick up wreaths @ National Cemetery on Lee Street @ Noon
- JAN 7 - Remove Post Christmas decorations.
- JAN 10 – Executive Board Meeting.
- JAN 14 – The American Legion Riders monthly meeting @ 2:00 PM
- JAN 15 – Post monthly meeting & Steak Supper. Steak Supper begins @ 6, no steaks sold after 7 PM. Cost is $15 for steak, baked potato, salad and dessert. The membership drawing will be worth $45. Wear your American Legion Hat and win an extra $5.
- JAN 20 – SAL ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST @ THE POST! Sausage, ham, eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and pancakes. $8/from 7-10 AM.
- JAN 20 - Legion Riders Annual RibFest (Legion Riders Members Only, must be current on dues)

- FEB 3 – Spring Stew - $7/quart call the Post to make your order
- FEB 4 – Four Chaplains Service – will be held @
- FEB 11 – Legion Riders Meeting @ 2:00 PM
- FEB 11 – Post Superbowl Party – Happy Hour @ 5:00 PM
- FEB 14 – Executive Board Meeting @ 7:00 PM

The S.A.L. Post 325 hopes that everyone had a Merry Christmas with family and friends. We wish everyone a Happy New Year and look forward to the upcoming year, working together with the rest of our American Legion family. We send prayers to our veterans and active-duty servicemen and women and their families. We also look forward to our monthly breakfasts this year and thank everyone for their support.

American Legion Riders "Last Capital Chapter" - RIDERS DIRECTOR, STEVE WALKER
This month the Legion Riders again hosted the Wreaths Across America event at Danville’s National Cemetery where we placed wreaths on over 1200 of the 2700 graves in the cemetery. The event was attended by well over 100 people including post members, the Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol Color Guard and several local dignitaries. PLEASE COME OUT ON JANUARY 6th @ NOON to help pick up the wreaths for storage. We also played “Biker” Santa Claus by presenting checks for $250 each to four struggling young families to help provide a nice Christmas for their children. Way to go Santa! On February 3rd we will be well represented helping to prepare the Post Spring Stew....Mmmmm good!!!
